Joining events and tours with other airlines
Vaeroly runs some events and tours for every airline that wants to take part. Nothing changes at your airline until you join one, and you can leave until it starts.
Join
Staff who can manage events (the Events, tours and awards permission) see Events and tours with other airlines on Events & tours → Events, listing the ones open to join, with their start time and, for an event, its bonus points; for a tour, how many legs it has.
- Press Join next to one.
- Your airline gets its own copy: an event shows on your Events page, a tour on your Tours page, both marked with other airlines. If your airline posts new events to Discord, a joined event is posted too.
Your pilots then sign up and fly it as they do your own events and tours: a flight counts when they fly it with your airline. A tour with an award gives your airline's copy of the award to the pilots who finish it.
Leave
Press Leave next to an event or tour you joined, any time before it starts. Its copy is removed from your airline, with your pilots' sign-ups for it. After the start, your airline stays in it.
What you can't change
A joined event or tour is the same at every airline, so it isn't listed for editing on Staff → Community → News & events, and you can't change its time, airports, bonus or legs. If Vaeroly cancels it, a joined event is removed (flights already flown keep their points) and a joined tour is hidden (pilots keep their progress and awards).
The combined leaderboard
Leaderboard next to a joined one (and Combined leaderboard on its page) shows the airlines taking part, ranked by flights that counted (for a tour: legs flown), then pilots taking part; and the pilots of every airline, with their airline. Pilots who chose to stay off leaderboards aren't named, but their flights count for their airline.
See Events, tours and focus airports for your airline's own events and tours.
