Joining an airline
This article explains how to find an airline on Vaeroly, apply to fly for it, and what happens after you apply.

Find an airline
- Log in, or create a free account first with Create account & apply on any airline's page.
- Open Airlines in the top menu. You see every airline flying on Vaeroly, busiest first.
- Type a name or ICAO code in the search box to narrow the list. Each card shows the airline's hubs and how many pilots it has.
- Click a card to open the airline's page.
You can also scroll down on My airlines to Join another airline, which lists the airlines you're not in yet.
Apply
On the airline's page you'll see a card called Apply to fly for followed by the airline's name.
- Pick your Home hub if the airline has more than one. This is the airport where your career starts.
- Answer the airline's questions, if it has any. Questions marked (required) must be answered before you can send the form.
- If the airline moved to Vaeroly from another system and you flew for it before, you may see Flew for … before?. Enter your old pilot ID there so your hours can come with you (see below).
- Press the button at the bottom. It says Join plus the airline's name when you're let in straight away, or Send application when staff check every application.
After you apply
What happens next depends on the airline's settings.
- Joined straight away: you get your pilot ID at once and land on the airline's Dashboard.
- Waiting for staff: the page says Application received, and My airlines shows "Your application is waiting for staff approval." You get an email when staff decide. Once approved, your pilot ID is in that email and the Open crew centre button appears on My airlines.
- Not approved: you get an email, and the airline's page later shows Apply again. Re-applying keeps your earlier pilot ID and history.
Your pilot ID is the airline's ICAO code followed by a four-digit number, for example ABC0012.
Bringing your old hours
If you enter your old pilot ID in Flew for … before?, one of two things happens:
- If the old record has the same email address as your Vaeroly account, and your email is verified, your hours move over at once. You'll see a message saying how many hours came with you.
- Otherwise staff are asked to confirm that the old record is you, and your hours move over once they do.
If the ID can't be found, or someone already claimed it, you'll see a message asking you to contact staff.
Common problems
- "You have already applied to this airline." Your application is still waiting, or you're already a member. Check My airlines.
- "This airline isn't open yet." The airline is still waiting for approval on Vaeroly. Try again later.
- The airline isn't taking new pilots right now. Its subscription has ended, so applications are paused until the owner renews it.
- Membership suspended. Contact the airline's staff.
