Your account: email, password and two-step login
Your Vaeroly account is shared by every airline you fly for. This article covers confirming your email, passwords, changing your email address, two-step login and signing out other devices.
Confirming your email address
After you sign up, the Check your inbox page tells you a confirmation link is on its way. Open it to activate your account. The link is valid for 3 days.
- It can take a minute to arrive. Look in your spam folder too.
- Press Send the link again for a new one. If you've asked for several, wait 15 minutes.
- Signed up with the wrong address? Press Log out and sign up again.
Forgot your password
- On the Log in page, press Forgot password?.
- Enter your account email and press Send reset link.
- Open the link in the email and choose a new password. The link is valid for 2 hours and works once.
After too many wrong passwords, signing in is paused for 15 minutes (longer if it keeps happening). Resetting your password lets you in straight away.
Change your password
On your Profile, in the Password card, enter your Current password and a New password, then press Change password. Every other browser and every copy of ACARS is signed out; you stay signed in where you are. You get an email saying the password was changed.
Change your email address
- On your Profile, press Change email in the Account card.
- Enter the New email address and your Current password, then press Send the link.
- Open the link sent to the new address while you're signed in, within 48 hours, and confirm.
Your current address gets a notice when you ask, and again when the change is made. Once it's made, every other browser and every copy of ACARS is signed out. You can ask for at most 3 changes a day, and an address another account already uses can't be taken.
Two-step login
Two-step login asks for a code from an authenticator app as well as your password. It's recommended for staff, and some airlines require it for their staff.
- On your Profile, under Two-step login, enter your Password and press Set up two-step login.
- Scan the code with your authenticator app (or enter the key by hand), enter the 6-digit code it shows and press Turn on.
- Save the recovery codes somewhere safe, such as a password manager or on paper, then press I've saved them. Each one works once, and they won't be shown again.
From then on, after your password you're asked to Enter your code. A recovery code works there too.
- New recovery codes gives you a fresh set; the old ones stop working.
- Turn off needs your password and a code.
- Turning two-step login on or off signs out every other browser and ACARS.
Lost your phone?
Sign in with one of your recovery codes, then turn two-step login off and set it up again on your new phone. If you have no recovery codes left, write to the platform team through the Contact page at the bottom of every page.
Signing out other devices
- Sign out of every other browser and ACARS (in Signed-in browsers on your Profile) ends every other session. You stay signed in where you are; ACARS asks you to sign in again.
- The ACARS page lists every signed-in copy of ACARS under Signed-in computers, each with its own Sign out button.
