Help centre · For pilots
Linking your Discord account
Linking your Discord account lets each airline's Discord server recognise you: your pilot ID as your nickname there, and the roles of your rank and hub. You link once, for every airline you fly for.
Link your account
The easiest way is in your airline's Discord server:
- Type
/linkin the server (or press Link my account if the server has a button for it). - Press the button in the reply, log in to Vaeroly if asked, and confirm.
You can also link from your Profile: in the Discord card, press Link Discord and allow it in Discord.
The Discord card then says Linked, with your Discord name.
/link or Link Discord instead. What you get in the server
When the airline has connected its server to Vaeroly:
- Your nickname becomes your pilot ID, usually with your name, for example
ABC0012 | Sam Pilot. The airline chooses the format. - Roles: the airline's role for linked pilots, your rank's role and your hub's role, as the airline has set them up. When you're promoted or move to another hub, your roles follow.
- If the airline gives roles when someone joins, you get them as soon as you join its server.
Roles the airline gives by hand, such as an event role, are never taken away by Vaeroly.
When roles go
The airline's roles and your pilot-ID nickname are taken back when you leave the airline, are removed from it, are suspended, delete your account, unlink Discord or link another Discord account. Some airlines also remove pilots who leave from their server.
Unlink or sign in with Discord
- Unlink in the Discord card removes the link. Your roles and nickname at every airline's server go with it.
- Sign in with Discord on the Log in page works for accounts that have linked Discord. If your Profile says signing in with Discord is off, press Re-link Discord to turn it on.
