Pilot pay

If your airline has switched on Pilot pay, you earn a virtual salary for your flights. It's just for fun: no real money is paid.

How it works

Each rank has a pay per block hour, set by staff. When you file a flight, it keeps the rate of your rank at that moment. Once the flight counts (staff accept it, or it's accepted straight away), it pays that rate for its block time. A rejected flight pays nothing. When you're promoted, your next flights pay the new rank's rate.

See your pay

Open Logbook → My pay. It shows what you earned this month and in total, your current rate, your pay month by month, the pay of each rank, and your latest flights with what each one paid. Flights still waiting for review show what they'll pay once accepted. Each PIREP also shows its pay.

For staff

Staff who can edit ranks set the pay under Staff → Operations → Pilot pay: one rate per rank, in dollars per block hour. A change applies to flights filed after it; flights already filed keep their rate.

Switch it on under Staff → Airline settings → Optional features → Pilot pay.
